20 years after the first film, Danny Boyle’s “Trainspotting” will be back.
2016 is the 20th anniversary of “Trainspotting”. The film was a big success and today we are talking about its second part.
Ewan McGregor the main star of the movie, told the magazine Details, “It looks like it might happen. The idea is that we shoot it in 2016, which would be 20 years after the original came out. And I’d be up for it. I wouldn’t have been 10 years ago, but I am now.”
In 2007, Danny Boyle the father of the film, agreed with McGregor because he was talking about a next part at the playlist website.
Danny Boyle wants to keep the original casting to save the same story. The film maker doesn’t want a bad next part. Ewan McGregor agrees to film the next part keeping Mark Renton character.
The rest of the team is not sure but with the big success in 1996 all the crew will be back for a second victory 20 years after.
The film will describe the grown-up lives of the original characters.
Now Danny Boyle is working on Steve Jobs’ biopic but in 2016 the work around Trainspotting 2 can start.
