The short movie, which has never been viewed since its 1928 release, was restored by Disney’s studio: “The restoration of this film will introduce many audiences to Disney’s work in the silent period – it clearly demonstrates the vitality and imagination of his animation at a key point in his early career,” said Andrew Millstein, President of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The world premiere is scheduled for 12th December 2015 in London. This film features the first famous character “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit”, his personality is rebel and malicious. The movie was discovered by a researcher who found it in BFI National Archive: “We have been working with film archives and private collectors all around the world to research the missing titles,” added Andrew Millstein.
