“If I got to see Star Wars, I might actually die from happiness”

Star Wars has been pre-screened for the first time to a man on his death bed.

Daniel Fleetwood (32) was diagnosed in 2012 with spindle cell carcinoma, a type of cancer that starts in the skin and tissues.

As he is unlikely to live until the worldwide release of Star Wars, The Force Awakens on Dec. 18, he asked Disney to see the movie early as his final dying wish.

Then he started a huge campaign with his wife Ashley on Twitter,  led by the hashtag #ForceForDaniel.

He received a lot of support, in particular from two actors of the film: Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker and John Boyega, who plays Finn.

Today, his wife published on Twitter the information that his wish has come true. Disney has just  made it happened.

Daniel also says he has  checked “the most important thing” off his bucket list.

Finally, this campaign offered him the film but showed him support and love too. According to Ashley, his spirit “has been lifted”.
