Russia in the heart of Foundation Louis Vuitton

The foundation Vuitton choose the Russian art collector Sergei Shchukin to make us discover 127 paintings and sculptures of the early 20th century. Shchukin fell in love with Cézame’s work. The work of Picasso, Gauguin and Matisse are also presented in this ultra modern venue, painted recently by Daniel Buren. At the origins this collection was between the Hermitage at Saint Petersburg and the museum Pushkine in Moscow.

The exhibition ids the result of work of Louis Vuitton’s president, Bernard Arnaud. Originally, the French pand the Russian presidents, François Holland and Vladimir Putine were supposed to be present at the opening but the relations between the two countries did not allow this inauguration to take place.

The exhibition will be present until February 20, 2017 at the fondation Vuitton.
