It has been announced today, Sting, the famous singer will be the first artist to perform in the Bataclan.

After one year of work, the sadly famous concert hall will welcome the artist. The place and the indoor room have been reproduced exactly the same as before the terrorist attack.

Originally, it was Pete Doherty, the young provoking artist, who was on the calendar to launch the new season. But, on France Info (news radio station), Jules Frutos, the co-president of the Bataclan declared :”Firstly, Pete Doherty was booked to open the hall. But, Sting, the legendary singer made the decision to call us, saying he wanted to play for the opening”.

Here in Paris, it’s good news that a worldwide and beloved artist wants to get involved after one year of terror. For Jerome Langlet, the other president :”It’s a concert, it’s not a ceremony”. Using this statement, the co-president proves that everybody in Paris wants to move forward from a sad year.

All benefits from this concert will be reversed to associations of victims of this November 13th horrific night.

Choosing November 12th, exactly one year after the attack, is also a symbolic way to show how selflessly workers and citizens contributed to rebuild the Bataclan theater.
