Novak Djokovic is not the number one any more… after almost two years of holding the title in the ATP ranking, Novak Djokovic was dethroned by Andy Murray on Saturday.

Last week took place the Paris Bercy Masters, one of the last big tournaments of the season and before the Masters of London which opposed the 10 greatest players of the word. This last week of competition showed once again the small form of Novak Djokovic who, after three consecutive titles in this tournament, was eliminated in quarter final by Tomas Berdych. After this elimination, Andy Murray had the cards in his hands to recup the first place of the ranking, and that from his semi final against Milos Raonic.

His semi final opponent had withdrawn from the game, and Andy Murray has become the number one on a golden bridge, but he declared : “It’s not a nice way to become number one.” The new number one met the American John Isner for the final, and he did his best to win, in order to celebrate his new ranking. Finally, Andy Murray won this game in a beautiful way (6-3;6-7;6-4) after a great fight. The Scottish won for the first time in his career the Paris Bercy Masters 1000 and he has 405 points ahead of Novak Djokovic in the ATP ranking!
