France rugby team or “the XV of France” will face the South African team, the Springboks, in a friendly game.  The French are going through a crisis after a disappointing last weekend where they lost 38-18 against the New Zealand team All Blacks. It was the second time they lost against them in November’s tests rugby games.

Then team’s coach Guy Novès is calling for a “revenge for the public, the staff and ourselves”. He wants to redeem the team for a first catastrophic half-time. That’s why he has decided to keep the same composition as with the New Zealand game. He believes in the capacity of the players, some of whom are playing for the first time in the national team. “They deserve a second chance,” he claims.

But the South African team are not in a much better mood. In their last game against the Irish XV they had a disastrous 38-3 score. But Novès knows that the game is not yet won. Indeed, in June’s last tests, the Springboks scored 100 points in three games against the French team.

Bernard Laporte, the president of French Rugby Federation had announced a goal of three victories for November’s tests matchs. A goal now clouded by the two latest games’ results.
