The president-elect Donald Trump gave his first interview broadcast on CBS on Sunday. It was for him the occasion to explain the first mesures that he wants to use.
He also confirmed, as he promised during his campaign, that he didn’t want to get his salary as President: 400.000 dollars per year.
He annonced that he wanted to deport between 2 and 3 million of immigrants who have a criminal record. It’s less than he announced during his campaign, when he said that he would throw out 11 million people in a irregular situation: “What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, […] we have a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate.”
The future president proclaimed that he woud choose a “pro-life” juges, but still maintain the law which authorizes gay marriage.
Asked on the possible abrogation of the Second Amendment, which considers abortion as a constitutional right, he declared that maybe some women will go to a another state to abort.
Demonstrations against Trump
All these mesures are, among other things, the reason why, since his election, a lot of “Against-Trump” demonstrations are taking place in the USA. In big cities like New York a lot of people take to the street to protest.
But for the next president of the USA, there is only one possibility as Lesley Stahl said during the interview: “Now you’re not scared, but there are people, Americans, who are scared and some of them are demonstrating right now, demonstrating against you, against your rhetoric.” To which Donald Trump answered : “That’s only because they don’t know me.”
